Dexter Wells, damaged by his first wife's unfaithfullness has given up on relationships. The sting of broken trust and the failing economy serve as agents of change for him. He takes a job as an inter-state courier which forever changes his life.
Charlés (pronounced Shar LAY), a toll attendant at a local bridge from New Jersey to Philly, has recently suffered the devastating loss of her ailing husband.She regrets the wasted moments and unspoken, unexpressed emotions during their lives together. At the toll booth she finds the entertaining encounters softens the sorrow she feels every day since his passing.
